How should I care for my diamond jewellery?
With proper care and maintenance, your diamond jewellery can last a lifetime. Here are a few tips to help you prolong the life of your jewellery. Since diamonds have a high affinity for grease you want to use a mild grease fighting agent. Clean your jewellery in warm, soapy water with a soft brush. Use a mild soap such as dish soap (Sunlight dish detergent works wonders!), and never use bleach or any cleaner containing bleach. We carry a great product line of jewellery cleaner for your gold, silver and pearl jewellery. Just visit our showroom to pick up your product.A few other tips that will help you prolong the life of your jewellery include: Avoid wearing your jewellery when using household cleaners. Even the chlorine in swimming pools can be harmful to your jewellery. Avoiding chemicals of this nature is particularly important for white gold, which contains small amounts of nickel and other minerals which may tarnish when exposed to certain chemicals. We recommend you remove your jewellery before doing manual labour or playing sports. Diamonds can be lost or chipped by a blow during these activities. And as always, feel free to drop by our showroom and we will be happy to clean and inspect your jewellery as a preventative measure.
