Ripcord News was created by Eric Van Dril in March of 2009.

Eric Van Dril is a 21-year-old attending the University of Iowa until May 16, when he graduates.  Given the state of the journalism industry, Ripcord News could be his full-time job after graduation.  If it is, then there will undoubtedly be more advertisements, marketing of the site and posts.
